Membership Policy

Welcome to AfriSwe Strong Knot Cooperative, a multipurpose cooperative dedicated to empowering women, youth, and children. We focus on uplifting small-scale farmers by promoting agribusiness and renewable energy across African countries, connecting members to global markets, financial support, and essential skills.

Membership Eligibility & Categories

We offer Individual Membership, which is open to anyone who aligns with our mission and values. This is categorized in two ways:

Independent Members: Individuals not attached to any specific group.

Community Group Members: Individuals representing a legitimate community group or association.

GETTING STARTED: Requirements & Fees

To  become a fully registered member,  you must provide a valid National ID/Passport, an accessible email address, and a mobile contact.

HOW TO APPLY

  2. App: Download the AfriSwe App for easy transactions and updates.

    Support: For those with feature (button) phones, contact our Support Center for manual registration assistance. Note: All applications are subject to administrator approval within 72 hours.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Active members are the heart of our cooperative. We expect members to:

 Participate: Attend Annual General Meetings (AGM) and training sessions.

Contribute: Stay current with financial commitments and volunteer skills where possible.

Uphold Values: Comply with the cooperative’s bylaws and engage in constructive conflict resolution.

Your privacy is paramount. AfriSwe utilizes industry-standard protections, including encryption, two-factor authentication, and regular security audits to ensure your personal identifiable information (PII) remains secure and compliant with GDPR.

This policy is effective as of August 1, 2024, and is governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
